We are a very sociable organisation for retired and semi-retired people, with over 350 members from Milford and the surrounding areas who meet together for learning and leisure activities.
On the first Tuesday of every month at 2.00p.m. in the Community Centre, we hold meetings with entertaining speakers. Visitors welcome – £3.00 subject to space.
We have nearly 50 Interest Groups, led and run by our members, which meet in people’s homes or community rooms in the village, where there may be a small charge. Subjects covered include:-
Art, Art Appreciation, Bird Watching, Book Club, Canasta, Computer Club, Conversational French, Conversational Spanish, Craft, Creative Writing, Current Affairs, Cycling, Family History, French and Spanish for Fun, French Conversation and improvers, Golf, Historical Topics, iPad Group, Mahjong, Modern History, Music Appreciation, Photography, Play Reading, Psychology, Rummikub, Science, Scrabble, Singing for Fun, Table Tennis, Villagers (local history groups), Walking, Wild Flower Appreciation, Wine Appreciation….. There are also many social activities including a Lunch Club, Theatre Group, Trips, MOTO (Members on Their Own)….
