Where: Youth Room

Description

You don’t take a photograph, you make it.”  A quote by Ansel Adams, recognised as one of the greatest photographers. “The best thing about a picture is that it never changes, even when the people in it do.” This quote by Andy Warhol describes exactly what a photograph is, a moment frozen in time when you, the camera and the subject are captured by the single click of a button.

Since the first photograph was taken almost 200 years ago the methods and equipment may have changed but the principles remain the same. The word Photography literally means ‘drawing with light‘, which derives from the Greek photo, meaning light and graph, meaning to draw. Photography is the process of recording an image – a photograph – on light sensitive film or, in the case of digital photography, via a digital electronic or magnetic memory.

Paul French, your Coolhat Photography mentor is a professional, trusted and highly experienced photographer and mentor who is a good listener and will help you better understand the photographic capabilities of your digital camera, tablet or mobile phone and help you identify and clarify the proficiencies necessary to make the most of your creative potential by helping you improve your photographic ability, confidence, skill, and competency.

Coolhat Photography will guide you on the best way to “Capture That Image” and achieve the photographic results you are looking for that will help to ensure you enjoy your photography and then, maybe, after a little bit of basic editing you will be able to share the pictures with Social Media, colleagues, friends and family – it’s entirely up to you.

However, if you are looking for a more corporate photographic style to support your marketing or promotional aspirations whilst the basic principles of photography remain the same, the subjects may be different. You then need to consider alternative approaches, however, you can rest assured that after a lifetime as a business mentor Paul will help you to focus on the best way to achieve your desired photographic objectives.

Why not come and join us at “The Bridge” Community Centre in Milford on Sea on a Tuesday afternoons between 2pm & 4pm where you will learn to demystify the hidden secrets of photography in a pleasant and relaxed group.

Our first session will be from 2pm on Tuesday 19th September 2023. Your first “taster” visit will be £5 thereafter there will be charge of £10 per person for each group session. If you require private one to one tuition we can talk about the fee for the programme suited to your needs.
