Community Centre Cinema
is back at Milford on Sea

** MOVIE NEWS ** MOVIE NEWS **

Great news
- films have return to the Community Centre thanks to a grant from the Arts & Music Festival earmarked for the purchase of a basic set of equipment - projector, screen, sound system, dvd player etc. Thank you all Festival goers!

We've signed up with Film Bank who licenses main stream films for viewing by Film Clubs like ours and who have a phenomenal film library on which we can draw - including the very latest cinema releases, much loved classics and everything in between.

There will be a taster in the Village Community Centre on 27th November at 7.00 pm and if all goes well we hope to be running a monthly programme of films you definitely want to see from January. Make a note in your diary to come along for the taster on the 27th and then look out for our special subscription offer for the New Year.

If you've any ideas or suggestions or favourite films you'd like to see give James a call on 643393 or drop him an email to james_flintoff@hotmail.com  LATEST FILM INFORMATION

Raj Meets Bollywood
On Saturday 1st November, a large audience at the Community Centre was entertained by the Spotlight Theatre Company who performed a selection of Noel Coward popular songs, Kipling verse and Cole Porter music in typical Raj style and by London based Bollywood Dancers who provided a real contrast by dancing in modern Indian style. Whatever would Coward have thought?!

The Community Centre looked wonderful with elephants adorning the walls and the tables and some of the audience rising to the occasion by dressing in array of saris and Indian glitz. Everyone seemed to enjoy the selection of curries for supper - as well as the authentic Kulfi ice cream for dessert.

As fund raising evenings go this was certainly a bit different! What next? A James Bond evening? An Old Time Music Hall? Let us know your ideas.

Community Centre Christmas Draw 2008
